Beyond a white picket fence and a pleasant amble from central Woodstock is this rose-focused 1898 Victorian. Most rooms are draped in damask and organza swags and bedding. A dramatic, antique walnut-burl bed takes center stage in the Honeysuckle Rose Suite, which has a private entrance. The Sweetheart room is the smallest of the accommodations, but the others are large. Complimentary breakfast is substantial.

After London we flew into New York and drove up to Woodstock to screen the DVD “Sunshine Superman: The Journey of Donovan” at the Woodstock Film Festival. Marti Ladd of The Wild Rose Inn welcomed Linda and I into her very chi chi boutique hotel. We were so glad to be there, very homey with the two Ukes upstairs that Marti plays. In the evening we went to a poetry reading at the Dharmaware store alongside the old millstream...I was inspired to start writing more poems of my own since my last collection “She”.

Once again it is time to leave this lovely sanctuary. The hospitality, quaint elegance and peace we feel here can not be compared to another B&B . The Wild Rose Inn will always be calling us back for another little slice of heaven. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us and we'll be back soon!

The beautiful Wild Rose has become our anniversary get away – four years and counting. You are perfect hosts – paying attention to every need in an unobtrusive but warm and friendly way (how do you do that ??) We wish our Victorian looked as good as yours! We’ve found no better place for a romantic weekend.

Our compliments to you on a beautifully done Inn! You really have it down pat!! We enjoyed our stay immensely, from the shops, to The Bear Cafe, to the pitter patter of rain in our inviting and comfortable Cherokee Rose room. We look forward to a future stay here at The Wild Rose Inn!
